"They Say, I Say" Book (20 Time)
In my article called Religion In Everyday Life, some assumptions about the catholic faith is being “too religious.”
And that they can be really nice. Also some people that aren’t catholic don’t
know that much about the catholic faith in general. Some people don’t know what
fasting is during lent and assume it’s stupid to do. Some people don’t know
what Ash Wednesday is and when they see ash’s on your forehead they make fun of
the people that do have ash’s on their head. Some people assume that Catholic’s
have too many “rules.” Some people think us Catholic’s don’t sin.
"They say people that are religious are way happier
than the ones that are not religious"(Religion & Public Life). They
say "two-thirds of highly religious adults (65%) say they have donated
money and helped the poor"(Religion & Public Life). They say
" religious people are about are likely as other Americans to say they
lost their temper recently"(Religion & Public Life). They say
"forgiving those who have wronged them (69%) (Religion & Public
Life). They ask "what being a moral person means to
you"(Religion & Public Life).
I agree that those who go to church or are religious seem happier
than the one's do not. I agree that if you're religious you are more generous
with your money and make more time to help the poor and community. I believe
this is important because being happier is healthier for you and being able to
go out and help the community and being generous with donating money even if
it's very little amount. I agree and disagree not all religious or
non-religious people have lost their temper recently. I believe some have but
that could be from a lot of different reasons behind why they lost their
temper. I agree that this is important to cover because no matter what it's
very hard to forgive someone who has did you wrong. I believe it's a hard topic
to talk about and cover because some people don't like talking about bad
subject like this one. I think being a moral person is treating others with
respect and helping out those in need and not ruining your repetition. I think
having honesty is the way to success.
